Clinton Campaign: Seat All Delegates With Full Votes

Breaking National News
USA
In the latest twist in the ongoing Democratic nomination saga, all eyes this weekend will be on a small group of 30 little-known Democratic Party insiders meeting inside a Washington, D.C., hotel Saturday to resolve one of the most hotly contested disputes of this campaign.

The Democratic National Committee panel is charged with figuring out how many of Florida and Michigan's delegates should be seated at the party's convention in August in Denver and allowed officially to participate in the naming of the party's presidential nominee.

Pro-Clinton supporters from Count Every Vote '08 are planning a protest outside the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel where the panel is holding its public meeting.

Representatives from both campaigns and state party officials from Florida and Michigan will make their presentations at the meeting, which, for the first time in recent history, will be covered intensely by the television news media.

Pastor Controversy Clouds Fight for Florida/Michigan
Precisely at the time when Obama's camp needs to be building bridges to supporters of New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, the Rev. Michael Pfleger, who's known Obama for about 20 years, took to the pulpit of Obama's church Sunday and ridiculed Clinton, using racially divisive language.

The Media Drumbeat For Obama

From The Editor's Desk
Skywatch-Media News

Hillary Clinton's 35 point victory in Kentucky coupled with her landslide victory in West Virginia, would not have come to fruition but for her tremendous support among women and White working class voters.

Kentucky/Oregon Results

Thank You Kentucky
Obama's Kentucky Problem

As a matter of fact, Hillary has won more votes than anyone running for the Democratic nomination in the history of the Democratic Party, and she added to her popular vote lead last night. Most importantly she has won states that will total 308 electoral votes in November -- more than enough to carry the general election.

Despite her impressive victories, her strong showing in vital swing states, and her overwhelming support among key voting groups, the media retches up the drumbeat for Obama, determined to have the final say in this historical race. Yet voters continue to send a message to those who want this race to be over, they are more determined than the media to keep this race alive. The pundits may have their way in this election, but the voters will have the final say.

Hillary will continue her quest to make certain the more than 2 million voters in Florida and Michigan are heard when she meets with the credentials committee on May 31 in Washington D.C. Today she is pleading her cause throughout Florida. Then on to Puerto Rico where she is expected to add hundreds of thousands of votes to her popular vote lead. As she said in her victory speech last evening, "This race is far from over." Like Hillary, her supporters are true to their cause, they will never give up and they will never give in.

Clinton's Crushing Victory Enlightens Obama's Weaknesses

From the Editor's Desk
Skywatch-Media News
May 14, 2008

Hillary Clinton's overwhelming victory in West Virginia on Tuesday night, brings to light the significant problems that Barack Obama has with White Working Class and rural voters, not just in West Virginia, but across America in general. It genuinely shows that Hillary is indeed the Right Candidate for the job.
Clinton Crushes Obama Across the Board

Results of West Virginia

There are many questions still unanswered by the Obama campaign as to why their candidate cannot close the deal on this nomination process. How can a "presumptive nominee" for all intents and purposes lose a primary in a major swing state by a humiliating 41%, and then boast about his prospects for winning a general election during a poorly worded speech in a conservative Missouri southeastern district on the eve of Clinton's smashing victory in West Virginia.

Obama in Missouri

There are many more questions that must be disturbing not only to voters but also to the superdelegates that will ultimately determine the nomination for either candidate. For instance, why can't Barack Obama connect with White working class individuals, especially Blue-Collar voters in those important swing states that any candidate would need in order to capture the White House. If Obama has any hope of winning over those voters than he will have to do a much better job of convincing them that he has their best interests at heart and will work hard for them every day.

Then there is the question of the demographics that make up particular regions of the country, especially in those all important rust belt states or swing states that could very well determine who our next president will be. Obama has a big problem with rural voters, possibly due to their distrust for an unknown candidate, but also because his recent comments towards "small-town" rural Americans were insulting, especially to those rural farming communities who "cling to guns" or attend church on a regular basis.

What the Exit Polls Say

Furthermore, Obama should be worried when exit polling is showing as it did recently in Pa, Indiana and West Virgina, that nearly 60% of Clinton's supporters will not vote for Obama in the Fall election, either voting for McCain or choosing to stay home on election day. Certainly these are troubling numbers for any candidate that will need their support in order to win on November 4th. Although some pundits and analysts will say that many of those defectors will come back to roost in the nest after the Democratic convention in late August, it is still discerning to consider the possibility that many will choose other options.

A Clear Rift in the Party

There is also the continued problem that exists with Rev.Wright. Early exit polling in West Virginia indicates that the controversial remarks made by Wright are still a factor for the Obama campaign. It is certain to be a continued factor raised by Republicans in the upcoming general election if Obama becomes the nominee.

Wright and Race are an Issue

It is now conceivable if not highly probable that Clinton will win the popular vote after the final tally is counted on June 3. Having erased most if not all of Obama's gains from the North Carolina primary in last evening's contest, she will now begin gaining on his overall popular vote margin, and will likely overtake his lead after the Puerto Rico Primary is completed. The Island primary which is scheduled for June 1, is reported to have more than 2.3 million registerd voters with at least 80% of those voters predicted to go to the polls. Clinton is favored to win that primary by a comfortable margin due to its overwhelming Hispanic and Catholic demographics, as well as Clinton's support among Puerto Ricans which make up a sizable voting block in New York. Hillary could very well come away with more than 500,000 more votes than Obama when all is said and done in that primary.

Why Puerto Rico Matters

Popular Vote Leads Directly to the Superdelegates

If Clinton should win the popular vote, and it now looks as if she will(exluding Michigan and/or Florida) it will be another valuable argument she can make to the superdelegates and party officials who are sitting on the fence until after June 3.

Clinton's confidence is showing despite the media thrashing she endured over the past week, and the calls for her to quit. Her thumping of Obama in West Virginia indicates her strenghts and his weaknesses. Voters have sent a loud and clear statement that they want this race to continue and for every vote to be counted. Last nights primary results sent a message to the Obama campaign, as well as to their supporters, and especially the political pundits that it it very unwise to attack Clinton and denigrate her campaign, that it can cause voter backlash, as was evident in West Virginia.

Unwise to Attack Clinton

Clinton's continued persistence in spite of the odds to remain in the race, have overshadowed many of the gains made by the Obama campaign. She may be considered by some to be a thorn in Obama's side at this late juncture, but to many she is the candidate best poised to propel Obama into the White House. Without her help, his prospects are dim. To believe otherwise would be foolish and condescending.

It is safe to say that no candidate has won the White House without winning West Virginia since 1916, and the last Democrat to win that state not once but twice, was Bill Clinton. Hillary is by far the strongest candidate to go up against McCain not only in this region of the country, but in all of rural America.

So Goes West Virginia, So Goes The Nation

Next stop is Kentucky where Obama will face the same humiliation that he witnessed in West Virginia, which has to be embarrassing for the man who claims the label of "presumptive nominee." The candidate claiming the mantle of victory one week, but knocked down the next week in a major landslide, must explain himself to the American electorate. Obama if he expects to be the nominee which is still not his to claim, must act and demonstrate that he can win, even when the going gets tough. His lackluster performance in West Virginia and his willingness to write off a swing state as though it doesn't matter will only come back to haunt him in the end.

Kentucky, Another Clinton Landslide

Obama must soon come to a realization that the votes of all citizens are important if he hopes to win in November, and to overlook the wishes of those who don't support him can only lead to more trouble for him in his quest to be president. Being overconfident at this point in time, could cause a reversal of fortunes for the Obama campaign as the stakes are high and the road remains long and burdensome.

Media Shifts Attention to Clinton in 'Dead-Heat' Race

From the Editor's Desk
Skywatch-Media News

April 29, 2008

With the race for the Democratic nomination gearing up for two more contest in Indiana and N.C. on May 6, Hillary Clinton has gained considerable momentum as the media shifts their attention to the dynamics of her campaign. For months Hillary supporters were accustomed to a media bashing as pundits and pollsters alike would relentlessly write her off as the candidate on a downward spiral. From New Hampshire to Pennsylvania, the media would treat each contest as if it were the last for Hillary Clinton, and each time she would prove them wrong.

Since her impressive victory in the Pa. Primary, the media is now shifting the focus of attention towards Clinton as more pundits and media commentators are painting her in a more favorable light. With the momentum to her back, Clinton's predominance among White Democratic voters, especially among Blue-Collar workers, Catholics, Women, Hispanics and senior citizens is 'turning the tide' in this race for the nomination.

For his part, Howard Dean the DNC Chairman has joined the media pundits in announcing that the race for the Democratic nomination is now in a "virtual dead heat" between Hillary and Obama. According to Dean the superdelegates must break the deadlock by deciding on a nominee after the last primary date of June 3. His surprise announcement on "Meet the Press" is great news for Clinton while unpleasant for the Obama campaign.

The media for their part have jumped off the Obama bandwagon into Clinton territory. Many analysts are now convinced that Obama must reach out to White Blue Collar workers if he has any chance of winning the nomination. If he is unable to successfully appeal to the all important demographic groups that have overwhelmingly supported Clinton in previous contests, then his ability to win over undecided superdelegates will be greatly diminished.

Obama's refusal to debate Clinton (even in an unmoderated forum) in N.C. and/or Indiana is not helping his cause either, before the next round of primary contests. Obama's whimsical excuse for not debating, "I'm going to talk directly to the people" is playing into the hands of Hillary Clinton and makes him look like the candidate that is not up to the challenge and unwilling to answer to the will of the people.

As the Rev. Wright continues on his "holy crusade" to place blame on the media for his own misfortunes and statements of vengeful disregard, he is creating another round of controversy that invigorates the doubts that voters have about the character and judgment skills of Obama. The more we here the Rev Wright in his infamous remarks of "God Damn America" the more the voters are turning away from Obama. The campaign that was once considered by many to be one of moral solidarity, is now by many considered to be one of political pandering and immoral solitude.

Obama's campaign may look nice on the outside from first observation, but after taking a second look it seems more like one of choas and frustration, unable to close the deal by its failure to unite all regions and all voting blocks. Hillary has learned to make adjustments along the way, and has learned from her previous campaign mistakes, that is why she looks like a winner to many, one who fights and never gives up. Obama must do the same if he wants to carry the torch of frontrunner in this race. He cannot expect to win the nomination by just sitting on his small delegate lead and acting as if the party owes him the nomination .

Furthermore, the argument he presents that Florida and Michigan votes should be discounted because he name wasn't on the ballot or he didn't campaign in that region is flimsy at best. Obama voluntarily removed his name from the ballot in Michigan and yet he wants to disenfranchise the voters of that state because of his own actions. In Florida he wants to disenfranchise those voters because he didn't campaign there. Yet he overlooks the fact that Hillary didn't campaign in Florida either and yet she won by more than 300,000 votes. You see he wants to have it his way, which is so similar to the manner in which George Bush has governed the past eight years, utilizing the "my way, or the highway" approach with congress and the voters.

Indeed we are hearing a different tune these days from the media and its pundits and commentators. They now visualize a new race that may swing this election in a different direction, certainly one that would not have been envisioned just a month ago. The 'tide is turning' but how far and in which direction? Soon we shall know the answer.

Is the "tide turning" in Hillary's favor?

Clinton Cruises to Impressive Victory in Pa Primary, but what is all the talk about the New Clinton Math?
Clinton's stunning victory celebration in Pa in which she carried almost every region and demographic, is now developing into a fund raising event that is amassing millions overnight. The New Clinton Math equates into some real trouble for Obama, the frontrunner who can't close the deal on the nomination. The equation that will flash in the minds of many voters is very simple and adds up to a convincing argument in the minds of superdelegates who will ultimately decide this nomination.

The new math is 4-1=10+3. You may be asking, what kind of math is this? Let me now explain. Barack Obama has been crusading throughout this campaign boasting about the huge money advantage he had in this race, but money does not equate into a win, as he found out in a big way last night in Pa. Having been outspent by almost 4 to 1 by a bombardment of Obama ads across the state, he failed miserably to convince superdelegates that he can win important battleground states. Read This

How can you outspend your opponent by large amounts and lose by convincing numbers in a crucial swing state like Pa? Immediately following her impressive double digit-10 point victory the money started pouring into her campaign, raising more than 3 million in just a few hours. The argument that will be raised now going into Indiana in two weeks is a very important and legitimate one at this point in this race. Read This

What about those media pundits and pollsters who are now wiping the mud off of their faces this morning? These so-called political experts have relentlessly beat up on Hillary, proclaiming that she was finished and should get out of the race. The lesson they are learning is one that has resonated in recent contests, the more you beat up on a candidate, the more you will find yourself on the wrong side of the equation. Do I see some glum faces in the media circuits this morning?

Obama's big problem is that he has failed to close the deal with Democrats and must continue to spend his millions trying to convince voters and superdelegates that he is the candidate that can win in November. But he has a dilemma on his hands with White Blue-Collar, Catholic and Women Voters, as has been evident throughout this campaign. The bottom line is that they don't trust him and for good reasons. The Gun-Clinging comments hurt him with gun owners in Pa. The "God Damn America" remarks of Rev. Wright hurt him with regular church goers in Pa. His ties with radical fundamentalists such as "weather underground" disturb rural democratic voters. His connections with Rezko, a Chicago thug now on trial for fraud, raises question marks for many voters.

These are real questions that have and will continue to be raised about Obama, a virtual unknown that campaigns on "empty rhetoric" and acts as if the nations owes him the nomination. In this country you must earn your way and fight for what you believe in, as Hillary has demonstrated throughout this campaign. Yet Obama sits on his lead and acts as if this nomination is his to lose.

As the nomination process winds down, there are several things that will play out leading up to the Denver Convention. Obama's lead in delegates and popular vote will continue to erode, especially in states such as Kentucky,West Virginia and Puerto Rico where Clinton will win by large margins. Hillary will argue that she has won all but one of the largest states that are essential to victory in November. She will argue that if the Florida and Michigan votes are counted she has the lead in popular vote. She will argue that she is winning over Core Democratic groups, including Catholics, Women, Hispanics and White Men. Those are powerful arguments!

With the momentum on her side, Clinton will fight on and continue to put her opponent on display with the electorate, as one who cannot win against the Republicans, is not battle tested, and lacks the experience to solve the country's huge problems. Obama, on the other hand must face the music and explain to his voters why he can't close the deal despite his huge money advantage. Read This

Indiana will be a crucial state for Hillary in the next couple of weeks. The momentum and the support of key individuals and groups in Indiana will be a great help to her as she strives to convince undecided voters that she is a real fighter who will put their best interests at heart. So far she has lived up to the challenge, and has struck a cord with voters. Now we must sit back and see if she can continue to defy the mainstream media, the pundits and pollsters who say she can't win, and want her to quit.

The Pa Primary was a real test for Hillary, she proved that she can win to fight another day. For Obama he looked tired, defeated and unable to connect with the very voters he needs to win in November. Instead of facing the music and taking his lumps, he ran off to another state much like a puppy with his tail between his legs. Clinton's ad that ran in Pa in the last days leading up to the primary vote, must have struck a cord with many voters, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the Kitchen." Well that is exactly what Obama did. Is that what Obama will do whenever he is confronted with a national crisis? Run for the hills!!

The more voters see and hear Obama on the stump, the more they wonder if he has what it takes to win. Lofty speeches and empty words don't equate into victory.

The New Clinton Math may at the end resonate with voters and the undecided superdelegates, despite the conventional wisdom that the candidate with the most pledged delegates or popular vote should get the reward.

When the momentum shifts and voters line up behind one candidate as they did throughout Pa, then voters have a tough decision to make. When the electoral map looks like it favors one candidate as it does for Hillary, then voters have a tough decision to make. When core Democrats,Catholics, Women,White Men,Senior Citizens, Blue Collar Workers, and Hispanics line up behind one candiate as they have with Hillary, then voters have a tough decision to make. When Reagan Democrats line up behind one candidate as they have for Hillary, then voters have a tough decision to make. When one candidate looks like his balloon is deflating as it does for Obama, then voters have a tough decision to make. When a candidate wins by double digit 10 point wins in all the rustbelt regions (Ohio, New Jersey, Pa) as Hillary has accomplished, then voters have a tough decision to make. When one candidate can only muster advantages among Blacks and voters under 25 years of age, as Obama is doing, then voters have a tough decision to make. When one candidate outspends the other by 4 to 1 margins and can't win, as Obama has shown, then the voters have a tough decision to make.

We now know and understand who the real fighter is in this race, the candidate who never gives in and never gives up. That is the kind of President this country needs and deserves. Not a candidate that runs on empty with no proven record. Yes the question mark has been raised and the equation is yet to be solved in this race, and may go unsolved all the way to Denver. Three Myths About the Democratic Race

Breaking National News
USA

by Peter Daou

AND OBAMA CALLS THIS 'CHANGING AMERICA'?

MYTH: Barack Obama is running a positive campaign that will unite Americans.

FACT: Barack Obama and his advisers have conducted a divisive "full assault" on Hillary's character.

While talking a lot about the politics of hope, change and unity, Sen. Obama and his campaign have been conducting a relentless and singularly personal assault on Hillary's character. They have blanketed big states with false negative mailers and radio ads and have described Hillary and her campaign as "disingenuous," "divisive," "untruthful," "dishonest," "polarizing," "calculating," "saying whatever it takes to win," "attempting to deceive the American people," "one of the most secretive in America," “deliberately misleading,” “literally willing to do anything to win,” and “playing politics with war."

This "full assault" on Hillary's integrity and character has reached a new peak since Hillary's victories on March 4th. One of Sen. Obama's top surrogates equated President Clinton with Joe McCarthy; another called Hillary a "monster;" and his campaign manager held an angry conference call claiming that Hillary is "deeply flawed" and has "character issues." That's neither unifying nor hopeful. If Sen. Obama really is the prohibitive favorite some say he is, these negative attacks make absolutely no sense. Why would a frontrunner seek to attack and divide? If Sen. Obama can't unify Democrats in a primary, how can he unify Americans in a general election?

=====

MYTH: The delegate "math" works decisively against Hillary.

FACT: The delegate math reflects an extremely close race that either candidate can win.

"The Math" is actually very simple: with hundreds of delegates still uncommitted, NEITHER candidate has reached the number of delegates required to secure the nomination. And EITHER candidate can reach the required number in the coming weeks and months. That is indisputable. No amount of editorials, articles, blog posts, charts, graphs, calculations, formulas, or projections will change the basic fact that either candidate can win. Pundits who confidently proclaim that Hillary has no hope of winning because of "the math," have counted Hillary out of this race three times before. Each time they based their sober assessments on 'facts' and 'realities' -- and each time they were wrong.

In a campaign with dozens of unexpected twists and turns, bold prognostications should be viewed with a healthy dose of skepticism. Look no further than Sen. Obama's "full assault" on Hillary's character to judge whether he thinks this election is over. The fact is this: Hillary and Sen. Obama are locked in a very close, hard-fought campaign and Hillary is demonstrating precisely the strength of character required of a president. Her resilience in the face of adversity, her faith in the voters, her capacity to rise to every challenge, are part of the reason she is the best general election candidate for Democrats. And it is why she is increasingly strong against John McCain in the polls at the same time that Sen. Obama is dropping against Sen. McCain.

=====

MYTH: For Hillary to win, super delegates must "overturn the will of the people."

FACT: The race is virtually tied, the "will of the people" is split, and both candidates need super delegates to win.

The Obama campaign and Sen. Obama's surrogates have engaged in a sustained public relations effort to convince people that the election is over and that if super delegates perform their established role of choosing a candidate who they believe will make the best nominee and president, they are somehow "overturning the will of the people." They have the audacity to make this argument while quietly and systematically courting those very same super delegates. They are courting them because they know that Sen. Obama needs super delegates to win. The Obama spin is being parroted daily by pundits, but it is patently false. The race is virtually tied; the "will of the people" is split. By virtually every measure, Hillary and Sen. Obama are neck and neck -- separated by less than 130 of the more than 3,100 delegates committed thus far and less than 1% of the 27 million+ votes cast, including Florida and Michigan. Less than 1%.

An incremental advantage for one candidate or the other is hardly a reason for super delegates to change the rules mid-game. Despite the Obama campaign's aggressive spin and pressure, the RULES require super delegates to exercise their best independent judgment, and that is what they will do. Even Sen. Obama's top strategist agrees they should. If not, then why don't prominent Obama endorsers like Senators Kerry (MA) and Kennedy (MA), and Governors Patrick (MA), Napolitano (AZ) and Richardson (NM) follow the will of their constituents and switch their support to Hillary? After all, she won their states. And if this is truly about the "will of the people," then Sen. Obama's short-sighted tactic to run out the clock on a revote in Florida and Michigan accomplishes exactly two things: it disenfranchises Florida and Michigan's voters; and it hurts Democrats in a general election. Apparently, for the Obama campaign, the "will of the people" is just words.

Obama's Secret Plan for Destroying Clinton and America

By Del Williams
The American Chronicle

Since I started getting involved in this campaign, some things have struck me. One is that this campaign wants the experience to speak for itself, but that message is not coming across correctly. So Obama, a virtually unknown man comes up with a message on hope and all the USA is mesmerized, even if they know he hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell of bringing about the changes that he wants, since he has no plan.

The thing I have noticed is that Clinton's hands have been tied. If she criticizes him , the blacks consider it wrong. Everything has an undercurrent about race, but those same blacks have no problem with lying and criticizing Clinton.

Having said that I am wondering how helpful some of Clintons helpers are. This is a unique race, and for some reason Blacks seem to think this is only about them. I am black, so I can say that. Considering blacks only comprise 13% of the nation's population, I don't think they have that right. I think that Obama has made this into a race thing, but in a much more subtle way. His meetings tend to be in predominately black communities or campuses. That cannot be by accident. So the man who says he will be the President of All America, seems to think that blacks come first. This may be why he has no qualms with his mentor, Rev. Wright calling for the Damning of America, calling the USA the KKKA, blaming the USA for the 9/11 attacks, etc. If I didn't know better it would seem like Obama is into "Black Power" and that is not good for America. It depends on the subjugation of the white world.

The odd thing is that with poor blacks Obama is not all that. He is a sellout. In poor black communities the educated black man is not wanted. Obama lives in a Million dollar home, so he is the top 6% of America making over $95,000 per year. He may have come from poverty, but at his age he cannot possibly understand JFK or MLK, since he, like I was not around. He throws out those names because they have meaning in the black community. And those who say "He is all that" are showing a hypocrisy that they do not give to other black leaders of either political party. So how does Obama get out of the "Sellout jail" and no one else does? It is the ultimate slap in the face to those who did not do drugs, had the two parent home, and have jobs that they like and their kids are not on the street corner gang banging.

If Obama is not a sellout (in my opinion, he is not) then those others are not either. Obama is a self-made man, but he does have some issues that need to be dealt with that have little to do with race and all to do with a realistic plan for this country. If he wants to sell me he needs to stop with the cliches and rhetoric and actually present some plans and how he intends to pay for them. He may be sounding like Santa Claus to some, but the reality is that bills on credit will have to be paid.

Obama won't have Hillary Clinton on a ticket because of the idea of a woman needing to be under a man, not next to or over. That is what his mentor taught him. So, if Obama gets the nomination, the first thing is to give the VP to someone he owes a favor to. The next is to elevate the inexperienced staff he has to important positions. Then, it will be time to pay off in posts all the people who have helped him behind the scenes. Don't be surprised if Collin Powells name comes up. He has been advising him on foreign policy. A typical Powell move.

In summary, whenever the need for a distraction comes up listen for a race issue or comment that, though educated, they purposely take the wrong way, like with the Ferraro statement. Second, look for more meetings in black communities running up to PA, look for him to oppose the revote in any state that he thinks Clinton can win, and finally look for him to consider himself a victim at the hands of Clinton in some stupid way. He won't tell America that he can't get the nomination with Hillary in the race and all she has to do is bide her time.

My prayer is that the REAL motive of Obama comes out and that the perfect veneer be shown for what it really is. America needs to see Obama, and we have not. We have seen the ultimate David Copperfield illusion.

Time to Buy Hillary Clinton

Breaking National News
USA
Three reasons why it may be wise to become bullish on Senator Clinton becoming the next U.S. President.

1) Senator Obama's "problem" in regards to his long-time pastor is a real issue. Brian Ross' report Thursday on Good Morning America, and more importantly the surfacing of the incendiary video(s), make this an explosive subject that will not go quietly away.

2) The very serious meltdown in the financial markets is likely to focus the country's attention on the health, stability and future of the American economy. Fairly or unfairly, Senator Clinton will benefit from her association with Bill Clinton's administration in the prosperous Nineties, and that perceived experience on the economy will stand in stark contrast to Senator Obama's dearth of experience.

3) The mostly unnoticed switch of Puerto Rico from a caucus on June 7 to a primary on June 1, gives Hillary Clinton a very real opportunity to surpass Barack Obama in the popular vote count. If Senator Clinton can "win" the popular vote, this will provide undecided superdelegates ample rationale to go with the less risky general election option of Senator Clinton.

Currently on Intrade Senator Clinton's odds to become the next president stand at 17.9%, down from a 2008 high of 47.5% on January 22. With Senator Obama unlikely to win another primary until May, it is time to be buying Hillary Clinton.

Texans Give Obama the Big Boot

From the Editor's Desk
Skywatch-Media News

Texas voters sent Obama packing Tuesday evening, sending his campaign a clear message, DON'T MESS WITH TEXANS. Clinton scored across the board along ethnic groups and gender lines and swept virtually every region of Texas outside of the Houston and Dallas area. It was also interesting to note that the Black turnout in the urban areas of Texas were essentially the same as the 2004 elections, or about 20% of the turnout. It was clear after seeing the results that Texans are not comfortable with Obama, the same could be said of Ohio where he lost by a whopping 10 percent. Click Here

Now it's on to Pennsylvania where both polls and organization give Clinton the advantage. Pennsylvania like Ohio have similar demographics which favor Clinton and her ties with the state go back to her early youth and her family's relationship with the State. The voters of Pennsylvania have always liked the Clinton's, especially during the 90's when the economy was booming, and they still like them now. This is Clinton Country. Click Here

It can also be said that a few other states still to hold their primary from the industrial regions will also play into Clinton's hands. They include West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana and even North Carolina. The momentum is with Clinton in the remaining few contests and she will continue to label Obama as incapable of leading the country during a time of crises, as she successfully did in the Texas Primary. It has clearly resonated with both the white male and female voters.

In addition, Obama's ties with the Rezko fiasco and his NAFTA blunder will continue to haunt him on the remainder of the campaign trail, as Clinton chips away at his small delegate lead. As long as she keeps winning and strikes a clear message about Obama's credibility as well as his elect ability in these remaining states, the more voters will understand that she is the only candidate that can withstand the Republican attacks that will ensue.

Obama, on the other hand, has shown that he is ill equipped to handle criticism as was shown in the way he handled the NAFTA AND Rezko questioning. He was forced to backtrack on the Canadian memo regarding NAFTA, after initially misleading reporters about the memo, saying it didn't exist. On the Rezko matter, instead of answering reporters questions, he left the stage saying he had already answered enough questions. These type of antics do not bode will with voters as he found out in Texas and Ohio, and will continue to realize in the upcoming contests after Mississippi.

It also seems apparent from what is now being reported in the Texas Caucus that the Obama camp are using some shady practices in an attempt to "lock out" Clinton Supporters. Why would they want to do this? The writing is on the wall, Texans do not like Obama, and his advisers are concerned that they will also lose the Caucus vote. Click Here

There are some very disturbing developments occurring within the Obama Campaign in recent weeks. Yes, Actions are louder than words...as Obama is now beginning to find out. It's better for voters to wake up from their mesmerized state now, then to go to the convention regretting that they nominated a candidate based on his words rather than his actions. It makes all the difference in the world.

Obama and the Media on the Ropes

From the Editor's Desk
Skywatch-Media News

With major loses in last night's primary elections in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island, Obama and the biased media have suffered a huge blow, one they will be hard-pressed to recover from. Clinton's rather convincing wins in Rhode Island and Ohio, and her come from behind win in Texas, have given new life and great momentum to her campaign for the remaining contests leading up to the August Convention in Denver. It seems that even the Texas Caucus voting thus far is going her way.

One can argue whether Clinton has made successive inroads with respect to delegate count, but with this race in a statistical dead heat it would appear that Clinton has a convincing case to present to the Super delegates who will for all practical purposes now decide who the next nominee will be for the Democratic Party.

Not only has Clinton won virtually all the large industrial and Blue Collar States, but has won the big states that will decide the next President of the United States. She is now poised to win big in Pennsylvania in the April 22 Primary as well.

It seems apparent that the DNC will now be faced with an important decision on whether to sit the delegates from Michigan and Florida or whether to conduct new primary contests in those two states. Given the outcome of last night's elections, they are faced with no other choice.

The media newspapers and major television networks who have been so eager to eulogize and bury Hillary Clinton, not once but on three different occasions during this campaign, now look like children who have been spanked for doing something wrong. Their blatant attacks and biased reporting towards the Clinton's and their kid glove treatment of Obama has come back to haunt them in a big way. Although they will never admit it, the media has done a great injustice to the presidential prospects of the Democratic Party, since now we are faced with a battle that has no end. Not only does the media have blood on their hands, but Obama is now in a boat with no paddle, and the shoreline is no where to be found.

Last Evening's staggering exit polls and convincing wins by Hillary Clinton, have not only shown that she is a true fighter, but have raised serious doubts about the elect ability of Obama as well as his credibility as an honest and straight-forward campaigner. The voters of Ohio and Texas, it can be said, have "seen the light" with Obama, and what they saw convinced them that this race must go on. Clinton not only won by large numbers among Hispanics, but both Women and White voters flocked to her side in last night's contests. Those who called themselves undecided or made up their minds in the last couple of days, voted for Clinton overwhelmingly. Across the board she carried the evening and put a rest to those in the Obama camp and the media bandwagon that this race is far from over.

With the momentum and the wins comes the spoils and Hillary now has both on her side. Not only will the money start flowing into her war chest, but she will now have a strong argument to present to voters and delegates that she is the most electable candidate, and the most experienced and tested candidate to go up against John McCain in November.

Hillary is a sure fighter, a candidate that does not quit and never gives in when the going gets rough. She has shown what it takes to be a winner, the genuine article, a "what you see is what you get" type of candidate. She may not be pretty on words, or inspire the masses, but she speaks from the heart and has demonstrated what it takes to be President. Her ability to come back time and time again, has both amazed and baffled not only her opposition, but those critics that said her days were numbered. Hillary now wears the label of the "Comeback Kid" a title she rightfully deserves, and one she will use in the coming days and weeks ahead.

Momentum Shifts to Clinton Camp

Clinton wins Texas

WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton scored comeback primary wins in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island Tuesday night, denting Barack Obama's delegate lead in a riveting Democratic presidential race.

Clinton's three triumphs ended a month of defeats for the former first lady, and she told jubilant supporters, "We're going on, we're going strong and we're going all the way."

Rhode Island: Smallest state is big reward for Clinton

R.I. Goes for Clinton
PROVIDENCE — Hillary Clinton’s 11-state losing streak ended in Rhode Island as the smallest state became a big battleground in the Democratic presidential contest.

In the last two weeks, the Ocean State took on greater significance as Clinton sought to halt the momentum of Barack Obama toward the nomination. Both campaigns poured resources into the state, and hundreds of volunteers, many from Massachusetts, went door-to-door in heavy rain as part of an all-out organizational struggle to get supporters to the polls.

Clinton Has Obama on the Ropes Heading Into March 4 Contests

Breaking National News
USA
Is Obama Being Honest With Voters?

TOLEDO, Ohio–Hillary Clinton launched an aggressive assault on Barack Obama on the eve of today's crucial Ohio Democratic presidential primary, citing a Canadian government memo as evidence the Illinois senator is being duplicitous with voters here.

The memo, obtained by The Associated Press, said Obama's top economic adviser assured a Canadian consular official during a Feb. 8 meeting in Chicago that the Illinois senator's criticism of NAFTA should be read as "political positioning (rather) than a clear articulation of policy plans."

Nobody on the call is thinking about anything but the love of their country in endorsing Senator Clinton, as one officer said at the end of the call.

"She has done her homework on national security. .. ... She has the big picture. ... .. She is the most qualified in the race to be Commander-in-Chief." - General Wesley Clark (retired)

"I think Hillary Clinton is the best person and the best prepared to be Commander-in-Chief." - Admiral William Owens

In the end, this is about who can beat John McCain in the general election. Clinton is the best positioned, especially when it comes to national security, to do just that.

Nicholson records pro-Clinton advertisement

Breaking National News
Jack Nicholson and Rob Reiner have recorded an advert backing Hillary Clinton's US presidential campaign.

The pair have edited scenes from Nicholson's most famous movies to show their support for the Democrat candidate.

Clips from Batman, A Few Good Men and The Shining are interspersed with promises from Clinton.

The message "Clinton has a plan to deal with the nearly 47 million Americans without health care", appears onscreen after a segment from The Shining, where Nicholson's character Jack Torrance says: "Things could be better, Lloyd. Things could be a whole lot better."

It also includes the line "There's nothing sexier than saluting a woman", from A Few Good Men.

Titled Jack and Hill, the advert appeared online at the weekend. The clip has not been endorsed by Clinton.

Clinton With Double Digit Leads Among Women Voters in Ohio and Texas

Women may hold the key for Clinton, particularly in the Midwestern state. Polls in the past week have shown her with a wide advantage — 17 percentage points in one poll, 18 in another — among Ohio women. She also leads among Texas women, but the margin is slimmer.

"If Hillary is going to regain the front-runner status and win the nomination, it starts with and ends with women," said Jenny Backus, a Democratic strategist who is not aligned with either candidate. "She has struck a chord with women, especially in Ohio."

Texas Commissioner Switches from Obama to Clinton

Today, the Clinton campaign announced that El Paso County Commissioner and former Barack Obama supporter Veronica Escobar has switched her support to Clinton.

According to a release from the Clinton camp:

The announcement follows a Latino Decisions Texas Poll that shows Hillary Clinton leading Barack Obama by 62% to 21% among registered Hispanic voters in Texas.

“While I initially liked Barack Obama," Escobar says in the release, "I am supporting Hillary Clinton because it is clear that she is the one candidate who will truly fight for our communities as president."

Texas Women Speak Out For Hillary

Image- Hillary on the trail in Ohio: See More

Across the nation women have continued to speak out for Hillary on issues that matter most to them. From Health Care, to Jobs, to Women's Rights, Hillary has stood up and fought not only for the women of America, but for families who are struggling to get by. Her plans for every working American deserve to be heard and recognized by the voters in the upcoming March 4 contests.

LATEST POLL SHOWS HILLARY AHEAD IN TEXAS PRIMARY

As many of you may already know, the media for one reason or another does not like the Clinton's. They have been on a crusade during the primary process to discredit and discount her ability to lead this country, and have attempted to make a laughing mockery of her husband, Former President Bill Clinton. While placing Obama on a pedestal and treating him with kid gloves, the media has thoroughly scrutinized the Clinton's at every turn and stop along the campaign trail. Their biased propaganda against Hillary and Bill is shameful, disrespectful and humiliating, and has disturbed so many people who have been following this election.

The Clinton's deserve better press coverage then they have been getting. That is why we will continue to provide the more positive coverage of Hillary's valiant efforts in this campaign, something the mainstream media refuses to do.

The following video advertisements concern the women of Texas and their primary which will be held on March 4th. Please take the time to view these videos, which are very positive and meant to send a message to all women in this voting process, that Hillary Speaks for Them.

"Shame on you", Barack Obama

Breaking National News
USA

Obama Deliberately Using Shamefully Deceptive and Misleading Mailings In a Crusade to Discredit Hillary Clinton.

Image:
Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., lashes out at Democratic presidential rival, Sen. Barack Obama during a news conference after her rally at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in Cincinnati, Ohio, Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008. Holding mailings, which she said are being sent by Obama's campaign, Clinton said, 'Shame on you, Barack Obama. It is time you ran a campaign consistent with your messages in public — that's what I expect from you.' At right, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland. (AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster)

CINCINNATI - Hillary Rodham Clinton angrily accused her Democratic rival Saturday of deliberately misrepresenting her positions on NAFTA and health care in mass mailings to voters, adding, "Shame on you, Barack Obama."

Clutching two of Obama campaign mailings in her hand for emphasis, the former first lady said, "enough with the speeches and the big rallies and then using tactics that are right out of Karl Rove's playbook."

"You can't be for something and take credit for an administration ... and then when you run for president say that you didn't really mean what you said way back then. It doesn't work like that," he said to cheers at a rally in Akron.

She said by his actions, Obama was giving "aid and comfort to the very special interests and their allies in the Republican Party who are against doing what we want to do for America."

"Meet me in Ohio," she said. "Let's have a debate about your tactics and your behavior in this campaign." The two are scheduled to debate Tuesday in Cleveland.

In her criticism of Obama, she asked, "Since when do Democrats attack one another on universal health care?"

John Glenn says he'll be proud to have Hillary Clinton as his president.

National Media May Be Turning Sour on Obama

Breaking National News
USA
Commentary by Margaret Carlson

Obama is akin to Jim Jones serving Kool-Aid to gullible followers in Jonestown.

Despite the negative tone, Clinton's attacks are working with the media, which are reacting to charges that they have gone easy on Obama. Seems that it is time for a change in the story line that Obama is the new, new thing, a gifted speaker who gains votes the more people see him.

And since it's the nature of the press to have severe morning-after regret for having gotten a lump in the throat over a candidate, you have a definite backlash that may help Clinton win the next big races: Ohio and Texas.

Barack Obama criticised over 'cult-like' rallies
Now critics are quietly voicing the fear that Mr Obama and his campaign have deliberately adopted the tone and tactics of an evangelical preacher, whipping up “Obamamania” at the expense of more serious discussion of policy and government.

There is “something just a wee bit creepy about the mass messianism” deployed by the black senator and his supporters, observed Joe Klein, the veteran political commentator the first to latch on to the political potency of Bill Clinton, then an obscure Arkansas governor, early in the 1992 White House campaign.

“The message is becoming dangerously self-referential,” he wrote in Time magazine. “The Obama campaign all too often is about how wonderful the Obama campaign is.”

At no fewer than six of Mr Obama’s recent rallies, young enthusiasts have been so overcome with excitement that they have fainted in front of the stage.
