Snow covers Michigan, Northeast hit again

DETROIT - A fast-moving New Year's Day storm dumped more than a foot of snow on southeastern Michigan, a record blast that made driving hazardous.

Snow also fell in central Illinois, and 180 flights were canceled at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
